Discos and Dispos is more than a photoshoot — it’s an emotion-driven, creative sanctuary of its own. We mark a shift away from traditional photography norms and step into something freer, bolder, and unmistakably personal. Rooted in experimentation and self-expression, Discos & Dispos blends nostalgic charm with documentary-style storytelling, inviting you to see your life through an authentic yet art-driven lens. Just like the movements that once redefined the historic art world, Discos & Dispos challenges the expected. We lean into spontaneity, texture, color, and raw emotion, capturing moments the way they feel, not just how they look. Every session is a reflection of the cultural and personal stories unfolding in real time, making Discos & Dispos a living expression of change, creativity, and the beautifully imperfect.
Hi, I’m Chan the conscious creative behind Discos & Dispos. My love for photography began in Zambia, where I grew up. At age 10, my dad handed me a camera on a safari, unknowingly sparking the passion that would shape my life. That first photo (the giraffe) taught me everything I still believe today: be present, trust the moment, and let the story unfold.
I’m now based in Florida but available worldwide — a natural fit for someone who has always chased new places, cultures, and experiences. As an avid traveler, it’s my joy to capture people wherever they feel most drawn to. My style is earthy, relaxed, nostalgic, and guided by emotion. I’m inspired not just by human connection, but by our connection to the natural world itself — our landscapes, our environments, our roots and our stories.
Before Discos & Dispos became the brand it is today, it lived as a small Instagram page shared only with my closest friends. I used it to post disposable camera photos from everything we did — music festivals, birthdays, dinners, road trips, weddings, and the fleeting moments in between. It felt like a rebellion against the intensity of modern social media: a return to photographing simply because something felt worth remembering. No retaking. No overthinking. No perfection.
That spirit of the wild, free and deeply human, continues to fuel Discos & Dispos today and forever.
With a background in public relations and a Master’s degree from USC in Management Communication, focusing on marketing communications, I blend artistic intuition with intentional storytelling. I understand people, emotion, and the psychology behind the images we treasure. And when you’re in front of my lens, my priority is simple: that you feel safe, seen, and entirely yourself.
Discos & Dispos is for those who crave authentic, artful, emotion-led visuals. When you look back at your gallery, my hope is that you feel every moment with the same depth you did when it happened — grounded, honest, and alive.
I am deeply inspired by film photography; it reminds us to be present and to trust the moment instead of micromanaging it. There’s no endless retaking the same pose, no obsessing over angles, no scrolling through previews of tons of photos of yourself. With film, you click once, breathe, and move on, allowing the moment to exist exactly as it was.
As a yogi who has spent years practicing presence and mindfulness, that way of creating feels like an extension of the way I live. Showing up authentically, wholly, and with a little bit of whimsy is always my intention. I hope to inspire everyone I cross paths with to move through life with a lightness at their core and to find a bit of magic in everything, because it’s always there, living within you.
My work follows that same rhythm. Embracing documentary-style, I lean into moments that unfold on their own: the unposed, the imperfect, the fleeting. A practice in letting go and in choosing feeling over perfection in a digital era that demands polish. While I will always gently prompt and guide you, I find so much magic in allowing moments to unfold with a kind of honesty that can’t be staged. Wild, free and deeply human.
That spirit is the essence of Discos & Dispos.
